Early Years to Mainstream Support - (PDF, 444.7 KB) a countywide offer for pre-school children ,with identified Special Educational Needs and or Education, Health & Care Plans, starting in reception classes of a mainstream school from September 2026.
Starting Strong- Kent’s guide to ordinarily available provision for early years. The Starting strong guidance offers a framework for delivering consistent, high-quality universal practice.
Within this section you will find useful tools, tracking sheets and leaflets to help you manage the SEND funding in your setting, and to help inform the families and carers of the children with SEND that you support.
Inclusive Early Years Fund (IEYF) , as part of the SEND reform programme, the government is working towards a system that better supports inclusive practice, enables earlier action and reduces barriers to accessing support.
All early years settings are expected to provide high‑quality provision as standard that is inclusive and accessible for all children.
Disability Access Fund (DAF) provides funding to support children with disabilities and/or special educational needs. The DAF aids access to early years places by, for example, supporting providers in making reasonable adjustments to their provision.
