Home to school transport
Kent's transport policy complies with Education and Inspections Act of 1996 and Sections 508A, B, C, D and Schedule 508D inserted by Part 6 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006. The following guidance explains how this is applied.
Who's eligible and how to apply
Parents and carers can find out if a child is entitled to free school transport and how to apply on kent.gov.uk
There's additional guidance about free school transport for low income families too.
Change of details and lost/damaged passes
Parents and carers must contact the transport team to tell us their child's new address and when they expect to move in. Call 03000 41 41 41 or email firstname.lastname@example.org It can take at least 3 weeks for the team to reassess their child's eligibility to receive transport assistance and if granted, for transport to be put into place.
For lost, stolen or damaged pass, parents and carers must order a replacement by calling:
- East Kent - 03000 41 35 31
