SEND strategy
The Kent SEND Strategy 2025–2028 outlines the approach of the local area in promoting an inclusive education system. The Strategy explains how we will deliver statutory requirements for those with additional and special educational needs and how we will measure our success. It builds on the previous SEND Strategy 2020-2023.
Our strategy is informed by laws and regulations, including the Equalities Act 2010, the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2014. These laws help ensure that we meet our responsibilities and provide the best support possible. We are committed to collaborating with parents, carers, and all our partners to create a brighter future for children and young people with SEND in Kent.
Through public consultations, we gained valuable insights into the challenges and aspirations of the SEND community. Our vision reflects a collective commitment to ensuring that children with SEND can thrive physically, emotionally, socially and academically
