The Frequencies Project

The Frequencies Project is a collaboration with students across the world aged between 10 to 16 years, in which canvases are installed onto school desks for students to draw on.

This is an opportunity for all Kent Schools to take part in a project called Frequencies, run by one of this year’s Turner Prize artist’s Oscar Murillo.

The ongoing work makes up part of an ethnographic study and has been exhibited at major galleries and at the Venice Biennale. To coincide with Oscar Murillo exhibiting work as part of the Turner Prize at Turner Contemporary in 2019, he is extending an invitation to be involved in Frequencies to Kent Schools. It is a fantastic opportunity for schools and students to be part of a major artwork.

Ideally canvasses would be installed during the time the Turner Prize is on, so expressions of interest should be sent at the start of the next academic year. Please find further information on the project in the Frequencies leaflet (PDF, 1.7 MB) and Frequencies FAQ (PDF, 63.5 KB).

If schools are interested please contact Jennifer Scott, Schools Officer at Turner Contemporary, for more details on how to get involved.
