Register and Become an Evidence Champion

Designate an Evidence Champion in your school and receive training, set up funding and support from The EEFective Kent Project.

The EEFective Kent Project is offering schools training, set up funding and support to designate their own Evidence Champion to lead on evidence-based practice in their school and ensure that all improvement work is shaped by the best available research evidence. Durrington Research School held a virtual launch event for Kent school leaders to find out more about this role and how it could strategically work for them. If you are interested in this but missed the launch, a recording of the session is available.

Durrington Research School is delivering the training to support the development and establishment of the role as part of the EEFective Kent Project. The Evidence Champion course will comprise three online twilight (3.30pm to 5.30pm) training modules in March 2022:

  • Monday 7 March 2022: What is an Evidence Champion? Why do schools need an Evidence Champion?
  • Tuesday 22 March 2022: What sources of evidence are available and how can we evaluate their usefulness?
  • Monday 25 April 2022: How can schools effectively mobilise the research evidence and evaluate its impact?

Following completion of the Evidence Champion training, all Evidence Champions will be invited to attend an Evidence Champion Networking Workshop in the Summer Term. The Evidence Champions will also be linked into the wider work of the KAH Research Hub and all the networking opportunities this will bring.

If you are interested, registration for this course is now open so please register now

Further information about this opportunity is available on the EEFective Kent Project webpage. If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact the project by email in the first instance to EEFectiveKentProject@kent.gov.uk.
