Delivering youth social action projects in Kent schools

Free online teacher training.

Would you like to help your pupils put their ideas and creativity into action, to benefit people and planet? We know that children are concerned about the many social and environmental issues they hear about and experience around them. We also know they are keen to do something to help but might not always feel equipped to take that first step by themselves.

Global Action Plan are experienced at facilitating Youth Social Action projects, and we are keen to share our experience with you, to spread the impact across Kent and Medway.

Join us for this free online training session, to hear about projects currently running in Kent schools and how you could deliver a Youth Social Action programme with your own pupils. We have a fully tested set of materials for you to use, case studies to share, plus input from other organisations working with young people in Kent.

You will:

  • Develop an understanding of Youth Social Action.
  • Engage with educators enabling youth-led projects in Kent.
  • Be invited to share any prior experience you have had of youth-led projects.
  • Take part in discussions with fellow teachers on opportunities and potential obstacles.
  • Hear about the Green Schools Award from Social Enterprise Kent.
  • Hear about the Wilder Kent Award from Kent Wildlife Trust.
  • Hear from Kent County Council about their environmental work with schools.
  • Be equipped with resources and practical activities to enable youth social action in your classroom.
