Racial Incidents Annual Survey now online

This year we have created a new online survey where you can record racial incidents that occurred in your school during the 2014-15 academic year.

This year we have created a new online survey where you can record racial incidents that occurred in your school during the 2014-15 academic year. The online survey asks for the same details as the old paper form did, there is no additional information being requested. The survey can be found on Kelsi under Management Information

We would encourage all schools to continue to record and report any racial incidents that occur – as you know, the new Ofsted framework will include a written judgement about whether or not the arrangements for safeguarding children and learners are effective. This will include safeguarding action to protect children from prejudice based bullying and racist abuse. Aggregated racial incidents data is requested under the Freedom of Information Act; recently data has been released regarding schools who did not return the survey in 2013-14, so it is important for all schools to submit a return.

There is a Print button on the survey that will print all the data you have entered; it will also print confirmation of a Nil Return. We would be grateful if you could complete the online survey (even if a nil return) by Friday 23 October 2015. If you have used the "real time" survey on the same web page to report racial incidents as they have occurred throughout the year, please do not complete the annual survey. If you are unsure, please contact management.information@kent.gov.uk.
