Empower your school community with Family Learning (2026/27)
3 June 2026
Supporting families is key to improving pupil outcomes - and our refreshed Family Learning programme for 2026/27 offers a flexible, impactful way for schools to do just that.
Designed in response to the evolving needs of Kent families, our free courses help schools strengthen engagement, raise attainment and contribute directly to key School Improvement Plan priorities, including attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, parental engagement and narrowing achievement gaps. Alongside our wider offer, we also deliver face-to-face and online parenting courses, creating valuable opportunities for direct support and relationship-building with families.
What’s new for 2026/27?
- Flexible, shorter courses
Family English, Maths and ESOL programmes are now delivered in up to six weeks, making them easier for families to access and complete. Learners can then progress seamlessly into our Essential Skills provision to continue their journey and gain qualifications. - Integrated learning opportunities
Academic subjects can now be combined with creative and life skills, helping parents build confidence while engaging meaningfully with their child’s learning. - Expanded webinar offer
Our growing suite of accessible, one-hour webinars supports busy families with targeted guidance, including:- Parenting children with autism
- Supporting emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSNA – coming soon)
- Managing challenging behaviour at home
- Self-harm awareness and coping strategies
- Parenting older teenagers through Raising Independent Young Adults
- Employment-focused ESOL
A new “ESOL – An Introduction to Employment” course equips learners with the confidence, language and skills to enter or re-enter the workforce - benefiting both families and the wider community.
