2015-16 Pupil Premium Final Allocations
14 July 2015
Update on the schools' final 2015-16 Pupil Premium funding allocations.
On the 19 June, The Education Funding Agency (EFA) notified the Local Authority (LA) of its schools' final 2015-16 Pupil Premium (PP) funding allocations. This communication includes all categories of PP with the exception of Children In Care (CiC) which is paid on a needs based application basis through the Virtual Schools Kent.
As a result of this notification, the following pupil premium payments will be adjusted in the July Schools' advances:
- Ever Six Free School Meals (E6FSM)
- Ever Four Service Children (E4SC)
- Post Looked After Children (PLAC)
To assist schools in reconciling their final PP allocation with advance payments made to date, and to provide details of payments for the remainder of the financial year, a template has been provided. View template.
The PP information provided by the EFA to the LA is only at school summary level (total number of pupils and amount to be paid). The individual details of the pupils that make up the total PP allocation are detailed on the DfE Key to Success website. Login in details will be held by the school at a local level.
It is important to note that the LA does not know what the PP allocations will be for the financial year until they are notified by the EFA in June each year. The responsibility for estimating future years PP income rests with schools, and it is recommended that schools use the data in Key to Success and future census submissions in autumn and spring to help estimate your schools' future PP income.
