If your concerns escalate about your child or young person, please call NHS 111 - mental health help 'Option 2'.

If it is an emergency, immediate danger to life or safety, dial 999 or visit Accident and Emergency (A&E).

If your referral is for ADHD or Autism Diagnostic Assessment please check the table on the NELFT website to ensure that your child is referred to the correct service, as some of these services are provided by other NHS trusts.

Within this service there are specialist and crisis support as well as Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital

Emotional Wellbeing Teams Kent (known nationally as MHST)

The Emotional Wellbeing Teams are school based and can support with early intervention Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing needs. To see if this service is available, please find your school

Support from this service comes through a discussion between the school and the service, we call this meeting an “Enquiry Review”. These discussions will help the school know how to support, alongside which service is best placed to offer intervention should it be needed. Primary Care Network (PCN) Mental Health Practitioners (MHP)

PCN MHP are specially trained clinicians embedded in GP surgeries to help children and young people with early intervention emotional wellbeing and mental health.

All Age Eating Disorder

The All-Age Eating Disorder Service (AADS) for Kent and Medway is a specialist service. The service aims to bring hope and confidence, through help and support, to those who have an eating disorder, to enable them to take back control of their life by overcoming their eating disorder.

The minimum age for referrals to this service is 8-years-old.
