Getting Maths Right for All

Designed for primary school teachers, mathematics leaders and senior leaders working across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, this one-day conference addresses how schools can create an ambitious maths curriculum that enables every child to succeed.

Built around a central principle of the Ofsted 2025 Framework, the conference will focus on removing barriers to learning and ensuring that all pupils can access and achieve success in mathematics. Through the latest research and evidence-informed practice, delegates will explore practical approaches to developing deep mathematical understanding for every learner.

We are delighted that Dr Debbie Morgan CBE will open the conference, sharing her perspective on creating an inclusive mathematics curriculum that secures the essential knowledge all pupils need while preparing school leaders for the opportunities presented by curriculum reform.

We are also pleased to welcome back Clare Christie, whose session will focus on strengthening inclusive mathematics provision for pupils with SEND in mainstream classrooms.

Throughout the day, delegates will hear from leading experts, engage with current thinking in mathematics education, and leave with practical classroom and leadership strategies that can be implemented immediately in their own schools.

Topics to be covered include:

• breaking down complex concepts to ensure all pupils develop deep conceptual understanding
• research-informed strategies that improve access to high-level mathematical thinking
• supporting disadvantaged pupils, pupils with SEND and those at risk of underachievement
• using adaptive teaching, responsive assessment and purposeful representations effectively
• implementing leadership approaches that align professional development, pedagogy and curriculum design.
