Registration open for the Big Conversation

3 January 2018

Taking place on 21 March 2018 at the Kent Showground, Detling Hill in Maidstone.

We would like to invite four* young people aged 13-19 and a member of staff from your school to take part in the fifth annual County Big Conversation on 21st March 2018 at the Kent Showground, Detling Hill in Maidstone.

This event is designed to equip young people with some practical knowledge and skills in a fun and interactive way. It is an opportunity for young people who are interested to learn how to improve theirs and their peers mental health and wellbeing.

Young people will be able to attend two workshops of their choice which will include:

  • Youth glow yoga
  • Positive relationships
  • Power of volunteering
  • Pack types - identifying who you are
  • Man on the Bridge - understanding your own wellbeing and the impact you can have on others
  • CCGs - Understanding your views.

In the afternoon there will be an interactive question and answer session with young people being given the opportunity to ask an expert panel their questions about health and wellbeing.

We will have representatives from a range of organisations who will be available for an informal chat in our marketplace and to be on the expert panel.

If you haven’t yet registered your school or organisation for this event, please contact HeadStart Kent, by emailing HeadStart@kent.gov.uk.

* Further spaces for additional young people may become available.
