Wraparound Provision parental survey

Please share the survey with parents and carers of children in your school.

As you should all now be aware, in the Spring Budget 2023 the Government announced the expansion of the Early Education and Childcare Entitlements to include children of working families from nine months upwards. At the same time, it announced the expansion of Wraparound Provision for primary school aged children.

From 15 January schools were asked to distribute an online survey to families to assess parental demand, the results of which will support KCC in determining how and where it will spend any capital funding for early years places and any capital and revenue funding for wraparound places.

Since then guidance for schools has also been published and can be found online at GOV.UK

Completion of the survey has varied across the County and some schools have had no responses.

We would be very grateful if you could support us with maximising the reach of this survey by sharing the message and survey link below with families in your schools any other stakeholders you may have and if appropriate your own family and friends who access or want to access childcare in Kent. It is vitally important that we receive as high a return as possible.

Parental Survey

The Education People’s Early Years and Childcare Service is conducting a survey on behalf of Kent County Council, of parents and carers and expectant parents to determine interest in the childcare entitlements that are being introduced this year and their arrangements for wraparound care of any primary school aged children. The survey will also gather the views of parents and carers using or wanting to use more childcare in Kent. This combined information will help us assess where there are gaps in provision.
