Virtual School Kent Awards 2024

Virtual School Kent are delighted to announce that nominations for this year’s Virtual School Kent Awards for Kent Children in Care up to Year 11 are now open and we encourage you to nominate children and young people for an award. Nominations are still open for Kent Young People in Care and Kent Young Care Leavers currently in Years 12, 13, 13+ or who are in employment or training.

Please make a nomination yourself and help us encourage colleagues, schools and providers to nominate, to ensure that we share and celebrate our children and young people’s achievements and that they do not miss out on the opportunity of being recognised and rewarded.

Award categories this year are:

• Outstanding or greatly improved academic achievement
• Outstanding or greatly improved engagement and/or attitude towards learning
• Outstanding contribution to the education, training, or employment placement
• Outstanding contribution to the community
• Wider achievements of note.

The deadline to make a nomination is 5pm on Monday 1 July for Children in Care in Early Years and Years R to Year 11.

• Pre-16 Nomination Form

The deadline to make a nomination is 5pm on Monday 20 May for Young People in Care and Care Leavers in Years 12, 13, 13+ and those in employment or training.

• Post-16 Nomination Form

As in previous years we will not be able to accept any nominations after these dates.
