Train with NCETM

NCETM are currently recruiting for their national Maths training programmes.

NCETM are currently recruiting for their national training programmes for anyone involved in leading teacher development in Mathematics. The recruitment process is centrally managed, and each of the programmes available to teachers are listed below, with a link to further information and the application form.

As your local Maths Hub, Kent and Medway are particularly interested in teachers who are passionate about teaching maths, have an interest in Teaching for Mastery principles and would like to not only develop their pedagogy but also then work with other teachers through the Maths Hub Work Groups to in turn support those teachers.

If you are working in a school or organisation and either lead professional development or support school improvement both with a focus on mathematics, this is a fantastic opportunity to work towards a formal accreditation and become a member of the Maths Hub Local Leaders in Mathematics Education community.

The training programmes are established in the Maths Hub community and previous participants from Kent and Medway schools have shared the following with us:

“Overall a fantastic opportunity, which should be investigated by all competent Maths Leads.”
Charlotte Aldham-Breary, Headteacher (Cuxton Academy) and PD Lead

'"Training as a Mastery Specialist I have enhanced my knowledge of representations and use of manipulatives, my students are more confident mathematicians.”
Peter Atkinson,  Deputy Director of Learning (Ebbsfleet Academy) and Secondary Mastery Specialist
