The Kindness Crew

A free, ready-to-run assembly supporting kindness and understanding of differences on the inside.
The Kindness Crew is a child-friendly programme designed to help primary schools build everyday kindness, understanding and empathy - particularly towards children who may experience the world differently on the inside. This includes differences that aren’t always visible, such as anxiety, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, hearing or vision challenges, or difficulties with processing noise, change or social situations. Through a small group of relatable characters and simple shared rules, pupils are encouraged to notice how others might be feeling, to ask rather than assume and to make small, positive choices that help everyone feel safe and included. The programme aligns naturally with PSHE and wellbeing priorities and is suitable for whole-school use.
Schools can begin their journey with The Kindness Crew Assembly Challenge - a free, 15-minute, ready-to-run assembly challenge designed to be as frictionless as possible. It includes a short animated film, simple teacher guidance and a brief pupil reflection activity, all delivered digitally. There is no preparation required beyond downloading the materials, and no ongoing commitment. Schools can run it at a time that suits them, use it as a standalone wellbeing activity or as a starting point for further classroom conversations about kindness, empathy and understanding.
The Assembly Challenge is intended to remove common barriers for schools - it’s free, flexible, age-appropriate and easy to introduce - making it an accessible way for schools to share a positive, inclusive message about kindness and understanding, without adding pressure to already busy staff or timetables.
