Mainstream Schools

The data used to calculate each school’s allocation is taken from the following sources:

  • 2 to 4-year olds - headcount from the January 2018 census
  • 5 to 16-year olds - headcount from the October 2017 census
  • 16 to 19-year olds - number of pupils used to calculate the 2018-2019 academic year funding allocations.

The Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) have noted that there has been some double-counting affecting children in reception classes.
