Strengthening approaches to inclusion of pupils with additional needs in Kent

As you will be aware, we are currently undertaking a piece of work that will look at how we can strengthen our approach to inclusion of pupils with additional needs across Kent.

As a first step, the organisation that we have invited to facilitate this work, Isos Partnership, are running a short online survey to gather feedback from leaders, SENCOs, governors and other professionals working within and with schools and Early Years settings in Kent. Many thanks to those who have completed the survey already - we have been pleased with the number of responses received so far. We are keen, however, that the survey reflects the views of all settings and schools.

As such, if you have not already done so, we would be grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete the survey

The survey will remain open until the end of the month (the final day for completing the survey will be Wednesday 31 July) - we have done this to ensure colleagues have the chance to complete the survey after the end of term, if this would be helpful. The survey should take no more than 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Isos colleagues will use the responses to inform the overall findings of this work, and will treat all individual responses in confidence.

As a second stage of the work, Isos will be presenting back a summary of the key messages and themes that will have come out of the survey and other evidence they will have gathered. This will be done through some workshops for schools, settings and other services during October. The aim of these workshops will be to test the overall messages that are coming out of this work, to generate solutions and to help to shape a shared vision and plan for strengthening inclusion in Kent.

Many thanks in advance for your support for this important piece of work.
