Still time to sign up to bargain Buster’s Book Club and get a bonus treat

Schools have one final chance to join Buster's Book Club at a huge discount and help pupils to have fun while embracing home reading throughout 2016.

Schools have one final chance to sign up to Buster's Book Club at a huge discount and help pupils to have fun while embracing home reading throughout 2016.

Simply register by Thursday, December 17, 2015 and pay less than half price per class. As an additional reward each school will also receive 30 child entry vouchers to leading Kent visitor attraction Canterbury Tales.

Simon Dolby of the KM Charity Team, which runs Buster's Book Club, said: "Schools will be able to use these vouchers as an extra special reward for a top reading class of the week. We're thrilled that Canterbury Tales is supporting child literacy in this way and helping us to encourage pupils to excel at reading."

Buster's Book Club works by setting every pupil an individual home reading target by year group. Each week a parent or guardian has to sign their reading bookmark to confirm the number of minutes spent reading or being read to at home. The top or most improved class for reading is announced during school assembly and presented with a Reading Class of the Week Trophy.

There are also a series of inter school reading challenges staged throughout the year culminating in an annual record attempt. Children are rewarded with incentives and prizes including tickets to Leeds Castle or Silver Blades ice rink, book vouchers and storytelling visits.

Schools have until Thursday, December 17 to register for Buster's Book Club at a discount and have the literacy initiative in place for January 2016.

To join, submit an enquiry at Busters Book Club and you will be sent an order form to complete.
