Spring 2026 Finance Information Groups

Open to finance staff from Kent Maintained Schools and Kent Academies.

Finance Information Groups (FIGs) are half day morning events which are ideal for anyone who is a Finance Officer, Bursar, Business Manager etc. These forums are open to finance staff from Kent Maintained Schools and Kent Academies. They are organised and run by Schools Financial Services and are free to attend.

These groups provide up to date information in relation to statutory financial matters and general financial related topics that are key to the smooth running of your school. They also provide a good opportunity to network and meet finance colleagues from other schools.

The agenda for the Spring 2026 FIG will include:

  • SEN and HNF Update - Karen Stone, KCC
  • School Budget Update, including an overview of budget factors, MPPL, MFG etc - Jody Catterall-James and Robin Goldsmith, KCC
  • Closedown 2025-26 - Sue Lindgren and Matt Stearn, SFS
  • Management Information System (MIS) and Financial Accounting System (FAS) supplier and framework update - Debbie Rose, EIS and Emma Baldock, SFS
  • SFS Update - Emma Baldock, SFS.
