7 July 2025
Yesterday saw thousands of Sixth Form students receive results for their International Baccalaureate Diploma.
This year, Sevenoaks School's 245 IB Diploma students achieved an average score of 39.1 points, around 10 points above the world average.
Eleven students achieved the highest possible Diploma score of 45 points. More than half of the cohort earned 40 points or more - a tremendous result.
Mr Jesse Elzinga, Headmaster at Sevenoaks School, says: "I am delighted that every student so successfully completed their IB Diploma. As we celebrate another year’s achievements, I offer my congratulations to all our students on their results, which are a credit to their aspirations, hard work and dedication. Very well done to the Class of 2025.
"Every year, some 200,000 students around the world take the IB Diploma. The IB’s breadth, depth, academic rigour and international outlook empowers our students to flourish at university and in their future careers. Our school leavers are intellectually curious, creative critical thinkers who will go out into the world and make a difference."
Sevenoaks School is one of the world’s leading IB schools. All Sixth Form students at the school take the International Baccalaureate Diploma, which involves the study of six academic subjects and the IB’s Theory of Knowledge course, as well as elements of service, creativity, sport and an extended research project.
