School Funding consultation

This consultation is necessary as it will affect the amount of funding your school will receive in 2024 (either from April 2024 for maintained schools or from September 2024 for academies and free schools).

This consultation will run until 12noon on Thursday 30 November 2023.

We are encouraging all maintained schools, academies and free schools in the area covered by Kent County Council to respond to this consultation.

The consultation documentation consists of:

1. a word document which provides the background and overview of the consultation as well as explaining each proposal in more detail;
2. a word document providing evidence to support the proposal to transfer funding to the High Needs Block;
3. an excel school-specific illustration model that allows you to see the impact of different scenarios on your school budget;
4. an online consultation response form.

We recommend that you read the word document first before looking at the school specific illustration model.
