School-based Nursery Capital Grant 2025 to 2026

The next round for applications opens on Monday 22 September and closes on Thursday 11 December at 5pm.

If your school or academy is interested in applying for this DfE grant, the first step is to consult with your Assistant Director of Education no later than Monday 6 October. A requirement of the application process is for the LA to review and approve any proposal in line with local priorities, such as pupil place planning.

The LA will also consider any demand for additional nursery places as part of the approval process. It is planned that applicants will know the outcome of the LA's decision before half term, allowing time for schools and academies to prepare their application before Thursday 11 December.
