Pregnant Workers and New Mothers Standard and Risk Assessment

The Pregnant Workers and New Mothers standard (PDF, 583.8 KB) sets out the health and safety requirements that all managers must follow when assessing the health and safety risks to a pregnant worker or a new mother including:

• Key health and safety legislation and requirements of employers.
• Management responsibilities when assessing risks for a pregnant worker or new mother.
• Pregnancy related health and safety guidance.
• New pregnant worker and new mother’s risk assessment template which can be downloaded and completed.
• What you should do if you are unable to control any significant risks to a pregnant worker or new mother.
