New LESAS child protection newsletter for DSLs published (term two, 2025/26)

We are pleased to share the latest edition of the LADO Education Safeguarding Service (LESAS) child protection newsletter, designed to support your safeguarding work in education settings.

• LESAS transitional safeguarding training questionnaire for DSLs which requests feedback from
  settings supporting young people aged 18+ to help us shape our future training and support offer.
• An update from Kent Police regarding Operation Encompass and the new community partnership
  intelligence portal for broader safeguarding intelligence sharing.
• New resources to support children's mental health and wellbeing, including KSCMP “navigate
  wellbeing: mental health signposting for education settings” and information about a new
  therapeutic support service.
• Online safety updates, including updated LESAS guidance for online safety for learners with
  SEND, new online scam resources for neurodivergent children and education resources to use for
  Safer Internet Day 2026.
