National Education Nature Park

Introduction to the DfE funded South East National Education Nature Park team.

The National Education Nature Park is one of the support programmes for the DfE Sustainability and Climate Change strategy and there is now a South East team in place to support education settings. They can offer advice on how to get started, or next steps if you are already involved, so that they can help you make the most of the programme.

Anna Mynett, Senior Programme Officer, is a Forest School Leader, environmental educator and garden designer and is the primary contact for schools in Kent and East Sussex. Book time with Anna Mynett

Ceri Jones, Programme Officer, is a Zoologist with teaching experience from primary to FE, and lecturer in Animal Management. Ceri is the primary contact for schools in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, West Sussex and Surrey. Book time with Ceri Jones

They can help you with the following free support:

  • Run workshops with your students around the five step process of the Nature Park
  • Map your habitats
  • Discuss interventions which can be made to boost biodiversity
  • Run assemblies.
