Local Area SEND Inspection

The inspection will consider how effectively the local area partnership works together to identify and support children and young people with SEND and improve outcomes for them and their families.

As key partners within the local area system, schools and settings may be contacted directly by inspectors and invited to participate in meetings, discussions or evidence-gathering activity during the inspection.

We would be grateful for your support in:

• Sharing relevant information promptly if requested;
• Encouraging staff and families to engage with inspection activity where appropriate;
• Continuing to work collaboratively with local authority and health colleagues throughout the inspection period.
