Kent Youth County Council Elections

Thank you to everyone who supported the Kent Youth County Council Elections.
We have had an amazing turnout with 25,067 votes received across Kent!
The top three issues, which will be KYCC Campaigns for 2026 are:
- Free School Meals and tackling poverty (4,166 votes)
- Public transport (3,920 votes)
- Feeling safe in Kent (3,879 votes).
101 young people have been elected as Members and Deputy Members, and we look forward to welcoming them to their first meeting.
We couldn’t run the KYCC Elections without the amazing support from all the schools who get involved to provide their students with the opportunity to vote.
Top voting schools with ballot papers:
- Maidstone Grammar School for Boys (1,657)
- Highworth Grammar School (1,407)
- Towers School and Sixth Form (1,107)
- Stone Lodge (910)
- St. John's Catholic Comprehensive (828)
Top voting schools with online voting:
- Northfleet School for Girls (446)
- Highsted Grammar School (242)
- Simon Langton Grammar School for Girls (233)
- Leigh Academy Ebbsfleet (214)
- St George's Secondary School (182)
