Kent Collaboration Fortnight

Kent Collaboration Fortnight is a brand new county-wide initiative, sharing and showcasing exemplary education practices involving schools across the Kent LA.

Kent Collaboration Fortnight is an exciting new initiative bringing together primary, secondary, special, academy and alternative provision settings from across Kent. The programme has been created to encourage schools to share effective practice, celebrate success and learn from one another, with a focus on approaches that positively influence pupils' achievement, wellbeing and overall development.

The 2027 Kent Collaboration Fortnight will take place from 25 January to 5 February 2027.

During the fortnight, participating schools will have the opportunity to open their doors to colleagues from across the county, showcasing successful strategies and approaches linked to the government's four key education priorities:

  • attendance
  • inclusion
  • best start in life
  • attainment.

The initiative aims to provide valuable professional learning opportunities for teachers and leaders while strengthening collaboration between schools throughout Kent.

Every school has expertise worth sharing and we believe that by working together, schools can support one another's improvement journeys. Schools can choose to host visitors, visit other settings or take part in both activities during the fortnight.

We are keen to see schools involved from every district across Kent to ensure a diverse and representative programme of visits.

We are inviting expressions of interest from schools across Kent, including special schools and alternative provision settings, that would like to welcome visitors during the fortnight.

Host schools should demonstrate strong practice across their setting, alongside a particular area of expertise within one or more of the four priority themes. Schools will also need to meet the eligibility criteria. The Education People’s Improvement Advisers will be notifying shortlisted host schools week commencing Monday 30 November 2026.
