KCC health and safety standard for risk assessments

The KCC health and safety team have developed a support package to provide school leaders and business managers with the tools to ensure they can effectively manage health and safety by undertaking a sensible and proportionate approach to risk management.
The package includes:
- KCC health and safety standard for risk assessments (PDF, 372.5 KB)
- Suite of risk assessment templates - each identifies the common hazards associated with the specific activity. The assessments can be used and adapted to suit service requirements.
Appropriate control measures to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm must be put in place. All risk assessments should be circulated to all staff involved in the activity and reviewed annually or earlier if there is an incident.
