KAH Bids from collaboratives 2015/16
14 July 2015
Update from the Kent Association of Headteachers.
A sum of £1.2m has been allocated by the Funding Forum to support school improvement, and is being administered by the Area Boards of the Kent Association of Headteachers.
Bids should address one of the following priorities:
- Increasing the number of good and outstanding schools
- Raising pupil attainment
- Closing achievement gaps
or an additional priority identified by a specific Area Board. A list of any additional priorities will be found on the Area pages of the KAH section of KELSI.
Each collaborative should include Local Authority schools. Any project proposed should be sustainable, and collaboratives are expected to commit a substantial financial contribution towards the sum that the project requires. No collaborative's bid can be considered until it has submitted a report on the outcomes and impact of any previous project funded by the KAH, and accounted for all finance allocated or committed. Funding will not be allocated to projects already supported by other funding streams.
It will not be possible for the Area Boards to address basic budget and staffing issues. Equipment and licences will not be funded, and only small sums can be allocated for teaching materials. General training opportunities cannot be funded in response to collaboratives' bids.
Applications should be made on the form available on the KAH section of KELSI, and sent to SharonBatchelor (sharon.batchelor@kent.gov.uk) by 2 October, 2015. Any bids from collaboratives submitted by 18 September, 2015, will be considered later that month, if a report has already been provided on the outcomes and impact of any previous project funded by the KAH either for that collaborative or for another including any of its members.
