Inclusion Leaders of Education Recruitment opportunity

This week, Leadership Learning South East (LLSE) Consortium are launching applications from school leaders and professionals supporting schools to a new and exciting, system leadership role.

As part of Kent County Council’s Countywide Approach to Inclusive Education (CATIE), three new services have been commissioned to support mainstream primary and secondary schools. This support will help schools to further strengthen inclusive practice in working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). One of these new services is the Inclusion Leadership Service provided by Leadership Learning South East (LLSE) Consortium (including nasen and the Education Development Trust).

This is a programme of peer-to-peer review and support, bringing together small clusters of schools across Kent, to identify and strengthen inclusive practices at school level. One of the elements offered by the service includes expert support from a nominated Inclusion Leader of Education (ILE).

This week, LLSE are launching applications from school leaders and professionals supporting schools to this new and exciting, system leadership role. Over the next two and a half years, the ILEs will play an important role in the Inclusion Leadership Programme. Each ILE will be linked to at least two clusters of schools (12 schools in total) and will support Headteachers as they reflect on the learning arising from their peer review engagement and start to develop plans for action.

For more information on the role, eligibility criteria and application process, download the ILE Protocols and Guidance and the ILE Application FormApplications are open now and the closing date for receipt of completed applications is 5pm on Thursday 4 November.
