Important changes to how we work at the ICS Front Door from April 2024
6 March 2024
From April, we will be making some important changes to how we work at the Front Door.
Requests for Support (RFS), from professionals, will have to be submitted through the KCC Children’s Portal rather than by email.
Our approach to requests for information will also be changing. We will share more information over the coming weeks.
An updated Support Level Guidance (SLG) is available on the KSCMP website. Please review before submitting a request for support to understand the different support levels.
6 March 2024 Update:
- Support Level Guidance training is now available to book onto, from March 2024, through the KSCMP website. More dates will become available throughout the year.
- We are starting to see more requests for support being made through the KCC Children’s Portal, from 33% historically to 40% in the last two months.
- We are less likely to have to come back to you for more information if a request for support is submitted through the KCC Children’s Portal
- Requests for support submitted through the KCC Children’s Portal are of better quality and are progressed quicker than requests received by email.
We are already discussing these changes with our multi-agency partners. As we move towards April, we will continue to keep you updated.
Actions for professionals and multi-agency partners:
- Create and account on the KCC Children’s Portal. There is a helpful guide and video on the KSCMP worried about a child page to help you do this.
- If you have a concern about a child, submit a request for support through the KCC Children’s Portal rather than by email.
- Familiarise yourself with the current Support Level Guidance
- Book onto SLG training
