Highly Commended feature added to Kent Wellbeing Awards

Organisers of the Kent Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards have announced that individuals, teams, initiatives and schools failing to win a major award on the night are now in with a chance of receiving Highly Commended status.

The annual wellbeing awards will showcase initiatives ranging from acts of kindness in supporting others during lockdown, right through to targeted wellbeing initiatives for staff or pupils. Thirty winners are expected to be named at the event, but now event organisers have agreed the judging panel will consider awarding Highly Commended status to entries not receiving a top award.

Simon Dolby from the awards team said: "The addition of the Highly Commended option will make nominating individuals and teams - whether school staff or parent volunteers - much more attractive to Senior Leadership Teams in schools as there is now an opportunity for external recognition of great work to a much larger number of nominees than just the 30 selected to be winners."
