Healing Classrooms: online training 2024

This online training programme explores how to provide safe and supportive learning environments for refugee students in schools alongside practical advice and resources on how to incorporate social-emotional learning and trauma-informed pedagogy into the curriculum.

The training is free of charge and there are currently two options:

• The Healing Classrooms Basics Training is three one-hour and 15-minute sessions that provide school staff with the basics of the Healing Classrooms Approach. Sessions feature case studies, discussions and good practice-sharing activities on how to best support refugee students in schools across the UK.
• The Healing Classrooms CPD Course. This free five-module CPD programme provides school staff with all the key skills and knowledge needed to support refugee and asylum-seeking students. This training provides an in-depth look at the IRC’s Healing Classrooms programme, and can be tailored to fit the specific needs of your school.
