Get ready to Shake Up your school day!

10 minute Shake Up from Change4Life with Disney.

It's been shown that regular physical activity before, during and after school is associated with improved self-esteem, academic achievement and concentration levels in children.1

Yet three in four children are doing less than 30 minutes of physical activity each day. It is recommended that children do at least 60 minutes each day, half of which should be in school.2

Our new Disney-inspired 10 Minute Shake Up programme launches next term, and will help pupils get active for 30 minutes a day with 10 minute-bursts of active fun inspired by their favourite characters from Disney Pixar's Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 2 and Disney's Frozen and The Lion King.

Visit the School Zone now to find fun curriculum-linked activities to get your pupils moving more throughout the school day.

Our new Disney-inspired take-home games packs will be arriving in schools through the School Fruit and Veg Scheme between 3 and 28 June.3

The games packs provide fun and easy ways to get pupils physically active and will help them discover what activity or sport they enjoy.

The packs will arrive with a Headteacher letter, which doubles as a poster to display in your reception area to let families and the wider community know that your school is shaking up this summer and beyond!

Has your school been taking part in Living Streets’ Walk to School Week? This week, half a million pupils around the UK are swapping the school run for a school walk.

It's been proven that children who do some form of exercise, especially a walk before school, do better in class because they arrive refreshed, fit and ready to learn.4

Plus, it's a great way to make sure pupils are getting their recommended 60 minutes of activity each day!
