Funded research opportunity: SHINE study, part two - invitation for Kent primary schools

Kent primary schools are invited to take part in the next phase of the SHINE study, which is exploring how the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) affects the wellbeing of Year 6 pupils.

Taking part involves sharing study information with families, supporting Year 6 pupils to complete two short online surveys during school time, and sending a follow-up survey invitation to parents and carers. Survey dates will be arranged to minimise disruption to learning.

Participating schools will receive:

  • £150 for their time and support
  • Feedback on pupils' health and wellbeing
  • A body positivity lesson plan
  • A research participation badge for use on school websites and evidence portfolios
  • The opportunity to help shape future improvements to the NCMP.

For more information, please see the one page SHINE study briefing (PDF, 1000.5 KB) and the SHINE study leaflet for more information . If your school is interested in taking part or has any questions, please contact shine@ucl.ac.uk or follow the QR code in the leaflet.
