Spring and Summer Fun Days for families and individuals

At the present time we offer day activities and courses at the Bewl Water Outdoor Centre for families and individuals. We have some upcoming Fun Days that we think your families and/or staff might like to find out more about for the Bank Holiday weekend and beyond.

We are offering archery, axe-throwing, climbing and sailing Fun Day taster sessions on Monday 2 May, Saturday 23 July and Saturday 6 August 2022.

  • Archery - Re-live the exploits of Robin Hood and become an expert marksman! Archery is a classic activity for all the family. Our qualified and experienced instructors will guide you through the difference between the ‘knock’, the ‘boss’ and the ‘quiver’. This archery tuition session is an exciting and competitive activity that is an introduction to a great sport.
  • Axe-throwing - The modern sport of axe throwing involves a competitor throwing an axe at a target, attempting to hit the bullseye as near as possible. Surrounded in a beautiful woodland you can experience what it is like to feel like a warrior! Axe-throwing is thoroughly satisfying and a great way to relieve stress as well as have fun!
  • Climbing - Our climbing wall is an artificially constructed wall with grips for hands and feet. Some grips are formed to mimic the conditions of outdoor rock, including some that are oversized and can have other grips bolted onto them. A rope, helmet, harness, and belay device (all provided) are used to increase the safety of the climber. Please be assured that no previous experience is needed but this could be the start of a new and exciting hobby!
  • Sailing - Our longboats are light and elegant and can be sailed with ease and agility so it’s a perfect way to enjoy Bewl Water on a Saturday, whether you are 6 or 66! It’s a great way to experience being a Captain of the water too. All sessions will be led by our friendly and experienced team of instructors and the price includes all specialist equipment that you will need.
