Free workshop for youngsters and staff CPD on Relationship Abuse - Themis Project

Prevention through Education - working to bring understanding and prevention to domestic abuse.

The Themis Project fulfils the full government’s SRE current requirements into schools, through an interactive workshop which can be designed to meet the needs of your specific school or educational setting. The workshop includes:

  • Definition of relationship abuse and current law
  • Signs of relationship abuse
  • How relationship abuse can cause harm and even loss of life
  • Sexualised bullying
  • When ‘No’ means ‘No’
  • Avoiding becoming a victim
  • How to get out of an abusive relationship
  • Effects of an abusive relationship on family and friends
  • Making positive relationship choices.

This workshop can save lives. As well as teaching students about making positive relationship choices, I deliver a training session for staff on how to manage youth who are exposed to Domestic Abuse in their homes.

Since the new laws around controlling and coercive behaviour have been introduced, the need to educate youngsters and raise awareness has become even more important.
