Final call for arty pupils to enter contest
6 May 2015
Budding young artists are running out of time to make an impression at the Perfect Packed Lunch Awards
Schools have until this Friday, May 8 to submit pupils' entries for the chance to see their artwork on display at the Turner Contemporary Gallery.
To enter, primary school children are required to draw or paint the ultimate lunchbox meal for their chosen category ranging from Princess to Pirate Captain – and then write about their imaginary culinary masterpiece.
Every entry will be showcased on the Perfect Packed Lunch Awards website as a recipe card featuring the artwork, creative writing and optionally a photo of the child artist holding their design.
Category winners will be invited to an awards ceremony at the Turner Contemporary Gallery, Margate where they will see their packed lunch picture on display.
Event organiser Julia Williamson of the KM Charity Team said: "Pupils can let their imaginations go wild for the Perfect Packed Lunch Awards. It's a great combination of art and creative writing with a wonderful prize to be won.
"There are still a few days left to get those entries in so make sure your class doesn't miss out."
