Exciting Dragons' Den style opportunity for pupils

Schools can submit pupils' science projects for the KM Bright Spark Awards giving children the chance to enter the dragons' den and win top prizes.

The awards which aim to make science cool in school are open for submissions until noon on Friday, June 5.

Organisers are looking for entries that require a team of pupils to use any of the following skills: maths, IT, science, electronics, and design and technology. The three categories for entries are Innovation, Investigation and Invention.

Finalists will be invited to an exciting Dragons' Den style event where they will describe their creation to a panel of 'dragons' in a bid to win trophies and other prizes.

Julia Williamson from the KM Charity Team, which is staging the event, said: "This is a great experience for students and an opportunity to showcase the work in your school – as well as helping to show how exciting science can be.

"Entries can range from a simple coding project all the way up to building a solar powered car."

Finalists will be filmed in advance at their school to show the detail of the project. This will be screened at the
awards event before the dragons begin their questioning of students.

The deadline to take part in the KM Bright Spark Awards is noon on Friday, June 5, 2015.

To enter, complete this form

Entrants should include a photo of the group in action with their creation and can optionally include a link to a video detailing their entry.
