Don’t Do It Alone campaign - Kooth

25 January 2021

Kooth is excited to unveil its 'Don’t Do It Alone' campaign.

With just two weeks to go before Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week, Kooth is excited to unveil its 'Don’t Do It Alone' campaign, designed to encourage open conversations around mental health so children and young people know they are not alone with their struggles.

Kooth is a safe, free and anonymous online mental health platform paid for in your area by your Clinical Commissioning Group and/or your Local Authority.

Kooth has worked with M&C Saatchi to create a campaign specifically designed for young people. Some of the biggest stars on social media have joined us for this campaign and we really hope the video will appeal to the young people you work with.

To accompany the video, we have created an informative and interactive lesson plan for you to download and use in your online or physical classroom.

The campaign will be fully released on 1 February 2021 across social media and through all schools and GPs in our commissioned areas.

In order for you to factor the campaign into your planning we wanted to give you a heads up on the campaign:

  1. Visit Kooth's Don't Do It Alone website for an overview of the campaign and download the ‘Don’t Do It Alone’ lesson plan which you can use alongside the video to engage your students in a conversation about mental wellbeing.
  2. Sign up for the Kooth webinars for school staff to join and ask us anything about the video, lesson plans and Kooth itself. You can join these by submitting your details at the Eventbrite website
  3. Get a sneak peek of the new video, visit Vimeo and use the password ‘dontdoitalone’ to check out a short preview of the video.
  4. As soon as you can make sure to follow our Kooth’s social media channels to keep up to date with the campaign on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn

We have to keep this video under wraps until the launch date of 1 February 2021, so please do not share any of these resources or links with your students until then. Details of the talent and influencers featured in the video must also not be shared before launch.

We hope that this great resource will help you to promote Kooth across your area.
