Coastal and Care Integrated Responses and Children's Lived Experiences (CIRCLE) study by the sea

Funded by National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).

CIRCLE study by the sea:

  • Collaborative study investigating health and social care for children and young people living in coastal towns in England. Led by the University of Kent, with KCC and KCHFT.
  • We’d like to hear from young people and their parents, carers and guardians to better understand their local experience and the factors that can protect and connect youth health and care in coastal communities.

This study is for:

  • Children and young people aged 11 to 18 who need help for their health and/or care living at least most of the time in Thanet - through a questionnaire, or later, by interview
  • Parents, carers and guardians of a child (any age) who needs help for their health and/or care living at least most of the time in Thanet - through a questionnaire, or later, by interview.

We are asking schools to share a short information pack including QR codes to the questionnaires with:

  • parents, carers and guardians of children living at least most of the time in Thanet
    • they can choose to do a questionnaire and/or share the information with their 11-18 year-old to do a questionnaire.
  • young people aged 16+ living at least most of the time in Thanet
    • they can choose to do a questionnaire.
