Children and Young People’s Mental Health planning for future services

NHS Kent and Medway and their partners at Kent County Council and Medway Council are dedicated to delivering more modernised, responsive services which meet the needs of children and young people now and into the next generation.

From July to November 2023, we gathered views about what’s important to help children and young people thrive, how to improve services, and how people should access services. 981 people responded and over 100,000 were contacted through newsletters, events, social media and local networks.

Our vision is to offer a wide range of face-to-face and online services to help keep children and young people well and support them and their family. We want to provide a comprehensive, but flexible offer suitable for each child or young person. These services, in schools, the community and those offering specialist mental health services, will work together as a network of support. To find out more, a briefing is available (PDF, 183.1 KB).
