Big Walk and Wheel 2026

From the 16 to 27 March, we’re encouraging Kent schools to get involved as part of the #WalkWheelRide campaign to use active travel for small journeys.

The Big Walk and Wheel inspires pupils and parents to make active journeys to school, improve air quality in their neighbourhood and discover how these changes benefit their world. It’s open to all primary and secondary schools, including SEN schools. It is free to take part and there are daily prizes to be won.

So whether you park further away and walk some of the way or dust off the scooter or bike and ride to school, why not make a start on your active travel journey.
