Become Kent’s EEF Associate Research School

Applications are now open to join the EEF’s Research School Network as Kent’s Associate Research School.

Applications are being accepted until 12noon on Monday 1 November 2021 through Durrington Research School’s website.

The EEF and Durrington Research School launched the opening of applications for Associate Research School status in Kent on Friday 24 September when they held an Associate Research School Information session which was recorded. Applications are now being accepted for Associate Research School status in Kent until 12noon on Monday 1 November 2021. The application form and further information is available on Durrington Research School’s website. The EEF and Kent County Council will be jointly funding the Associate Research School as part of the EEFective Kent Project.

To support you through the application process, the EEF and Durrington Research School will be hosting a second event on Monday 11 October 2021 (4pm to 5pm) where they will answer any questions you may have about the application process. To join this session, please complete this short booking form. If you are unable to join or you feel more comfortable submitting your questions in advance, you can use the same form to do this. All questions submitted ahead of the event will be shared with the EEF and Durrington Research School. We will answer all questions and ensure that the answers are fed back.

Evidence-based Training: Important Updates

There are a limited number of places available on evidence-based training courses starting this academic year which are delivered by the EEF’s Research Schools.

The last few match-funded places can be booked for:

  • Evidence Informed Curriculum Development: Booking Requests will be accepted until 2pm on Friday, 15 October 2021
  • Tackling Educational Disadvantage: Booking Requests will be accepted until 2pm on Friday, 22 October 2021
  • Improving Memory and Metacognition: Booking Requests will be accepted until 2pm on Friday, 22 October 2021
  • SEND and Learning Behaviours*: NOW FULL. If you are interested, please add your name to the waiting list for the next cohort which we are anticipate will run later this academic year by completing this booking request form. *This course is free to eligible Kent Schools as the EEFective Kent Project and Kent Inclusion Fund are both providing 50% match-funding towards this course.
