Be a Polling Station for the Kent Youth County Council Elections

Kent Youth County Council (KYCC) elections are fast approaching, and schools and youth organisations across Kent have a unique opportunity to play a vital role in supporting youth democracy.

From Monday 10 November to Sunday 23 November 2025, young people aged 11 to 18 will vote to elect their KYCC representatives—bringing youth voice and leadership to the forefront during UK Parliament Week.

Why register as a Polling Station?

By registering as a polling station, your school or organisation will:

  • Empower young people to engage in democratic processes
  • Support youth leadership and representation in Kent
  • Host online and paper ballot voting, making participation easy and accessible
  • Be part of a county-wide initiative that amplifies youth voices on issues like:
    • Mental health and emotional wellbeing
    • Public transport
    • Feeling safe in Kent
    • Free School Meals and tackling poverty.

"We take it as a real opportunity to not only just host the KYCC elections, but also educate about the citizenship elements of of of the curriculum as well." - Highworth Grammar School for Girls.
