APM Area Directories and Bulletin overview - September 2023

Information for schools, partners and practitioners supporting children, young people and families in Kent.

The Local Children’s Partnership Groups (LCPGs) brings together partners with the aim of improving outcomes for children and young people in Kent by working collaborative to understand and meet local needs. LCPGs have a strategic multi-agency collaborative member led group, alongside two age-focused multi-agency operational groups, the Children’s Partnership Conversation (CPC) and the Young People’s Partnership Conversation (YPPC) who each meet three to four times per year. The LCPGs have district partnership priorities for the year, an annual action plan. We are always keen for more schools to join our groups.

As part of their important work in the districts, and to respond to local requests, the LCPGs have developed Area Service Directories to support partners and schools to access information about local services and resources.

Area Service Directories:

These can also be viewed alongside the County and National Support Services Directory and the Hardship Help for Families in Kent Guide.

There is an Area Partnership Manager (APM) for each area who facilitates the LCPGs and has strong networks and links with partners, schools and the community and voluntary sector. APM update and manage the Area Directories of Services (on the Sway platform) on behalf of the district LCPGs. They also produce a monthly Area Partnership Bulletin pulling together information about new services, learning/development opportunities, best practice and funding.

Please email your respective APM to join an area partnership network and receive updates.

Area Partnership Bulletins:

Area Partnership Manager contacts:

The Directories and Bulletins are designed with partners, practitioners and school colleagues in mind, to update them on services and information, for upskilling the workforce and for use when signposting families. The Directories have not been tested with families, for family friendly language or format, and therefore these directories have not been designed with families in mind. This may change in the future, should resources be identified.
