Action Short of a Strike

NASUWT have called on their members to take continuous action short of a strike on Wednesday 6 May 2015

Kent County Council has received notification from the NASUWT that they intend to escalate their industrial action in relation to their dispute over pensions, workload and conditions of service. This will take the form of further continuous action short of a strike and will start from Wednesday 6 May 2015. KCC has been advised that the action the union was previously taking in furtherance of the dispute remains in place.

The union have now given their members the following additional instructions:

Members are instructed to refuse to comply with any marking and assessment policy which generates excessive workload and/or has not been agreed with the NASUWT.

Until such time as a policy agreed with the NASUWT is introduced, members will mark and assess pupils in a manner consistent with the principles set out in the Union's guidance.

Please see the union's guidance for your information.
