Primary school children have the chance to win an unforgettable experience at a leading family attraction in Kent.

The top prize for a writing competition organised by the KM Charity Team is the chance to become boss of the Rare Breeds Centre, Ashford for a morning.

The farming attraction set within 100 acres of beautiful Kent countryside is a popular day out for families.

Visitors enjoy indoor and outdoor encounters with a variety of farm and pet animals plus tractor rides, a play barn, shop and restaurant.

To enter the contest, pupils must complete an activity sheet called The Power of Persuasion where they write a letter to persuade a friend to join them on the walk to school. Entries will be judged on creativity, persuasiveness, awareness of the benefits of green travel and quality of handwriting.

Teachers, parents or guardians can assist with downloading and printing the activity sheet for a child as well as posting the completed letter to the KM Charity Team.

Whichever pupil writes the best entry will take charge of the Rare Breeds Centre and enjoy an action packed experience.

Joanne Creighton, chief executive of the Rare Breeds Centre, said: "They'll have the opportunity to work with our brilliant farm manager so they'll check out all the animals, they'll do inspections of our play equipment and we may even get them to check out the zip wire too!"

She added: "There'll be lots of other really exciting things to do so we really hope the children get out their pens and get thinking."

For more information view the video about the competition.

Visit KM Charity Website to enter before the deadline of January 5, 2016.

The KM Charity Team also runs the Buster's Book Club reading scheme. Schools have until Thursday, December 17 to register for the scheme at less than half price and help pupils embrace home reading throughout 2016. To join, visit Busters Book Club.
